to provide lasting comfort and protection to your home. This warranty is effective for all Global Windows & Doors products manufactured after January 1, 2006.
Vinyl Windows
Lifetime Warranty
The Lifetime warranty applies to the original owner of an owner-occupied single-family residence in which the vinyl windows are initially installed as long as you own and occupy your residence. Global Windows & Doors warrants that each vinyl window product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty includes free replacement parts and the labour of a factory authorized representative necessary to replace the parts or make any adjustments.
Vinyl
Global Windows & Doors warrants against defects in the material and workmanship that may result in flaking, blistering, peeling, or corrosion.
Insulating Glass
Global Windows & Doors will warrant that the insulating glass will be free from material obstruction of vision as the result of condensation or film formation on the interior of the glass surface caused by the failure of the hermetic seal due to faulty manufacture.
Hardware and Components
Global Windows & Doors warrants that all hardware will remain operational for as long as you own your home.
Transferability
In the event that you sell your house or it becomes occupied by other than the original owner, the warranty is transferable. The warranty is then 10 years from the original installation date.
Contractor Purchased
For product purchased by a contractor for use in a home intended for sale after construction, the Lifetime Warranty will be honored provided that the home is sold within two years of the purchase date of the windows.
Registration
Warranty cards can be mailed directly to Global Windows & Doors, or completed online at www.globalwindows.ca within 60 days of installation.
Claims Procedure
Any claims must be made to an authorized Global Windows & Doors dealer within 30 days after the defect has first appeared. The following information must be given when applying for a claim:
A)Name, Address and Phone numbers
B)Date of installation
C)Brief description of the suspected defect
D)Warranty Certificate Number or Order Number.
E) If transferred warranty, name of original property owner
